ITHACA, N.Y. – The 24th-ranked men's tennis team rolled to a pair of 7-0 victories on Sunday against regional opponents Binghamton and Colgate at Reis Tennis Center. The Big Red, which improved to 9-1 on the season, swept all 18 matches on the day.
 
In the day's first match against Binghamton (4-5), Cornell's No. 2 doubles team of sophomores Jason Luu and Quoc-Daniel Nguyen held on for a tiebreaker victory. Luu and classmate Sam Fleck then won their singles matches at No. 5 and No. 2, respectively, in straight sets. Junior Venkat Iyer was the only Cornell competitor to trail in a match, having dropped the first set of his No. 1 singles match with Robin Lesage, but he rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-0 victory to keep the Bearcats off the board.
 
In the evening's match, Cornell recorded its 15th consecutive victory over Colgate (2-5). Using a modified lineup, the Big Red cruising to the doubles pointAll of those matches were decided in straight sets, with juniors Spencer Clark (No. 5) and Alex Wilton (No. 6) winning their first dual matches of the season.
 
The Big Red plays its last non-league home match of the season at 1 p.m. Sunday, when it plays host to No. 63 Memphis at Reis Tennis Center.
