ITHACA, N.Y. -- A total of 30 Cornell men's and women's ice hockey players have been named to the 2012-13 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team it was announced today by the league office. Nineteen men and 11 women were honored for the success in the classroom among the 372 players recognized.

Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.

For the men, three athletes were named for the fourth straight year (Erik Axell, Nick D'Agostino, Omar Kanji), two are three-time picks (Rodger Craig, Andy Iles) and five others have earned the accolade twice (Cole Bardreau, Kevin Cole, Jacob MacDonald, John McCarron, Vince Mihalek).

The women have five three-time selections (Jessica Campbell, Hayleigh Cudmore, Alyssa Gagliardi, Brianne Jenner, Lauriane Rougeau) and three more two-time picks (Erin Barley-Maloney, Monika Leck, Katelyn Pippy).
