Men's Tennis Falls to Harvard in ECAC Indoors Semifinal

HANOVER, N.H. – The men's tennis team's defense of the ECAC Indoor Championships came to a close Saturday night in the semifinals with a 4-0 loss to top-seeded Harvard at Dartmouth's Boss Tennis Center.
 
The Big Red got a doubles victory from freshman Bernardo Casares Rosa and sophomore Stefan Vinti at the No. 3 position, but the Crimson had already clinched the opening point with 6-3 victories at both No. 1 and No. 2.
 
All three completed singles matches wrapped up within a four-minute span, spelling a sudden end to the match. Junior Sam Fleck won the first set of his No. 3 match in a tiebreaker.
 
Cornell (5-3), which is seeded fourth and ranked 62nd in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, will play third-seeded Dartmouth at 11 a.m. Monday in the third-place match. The Big Green (8-2) is ranked 63rd.
