ITHACA, N.Y. — The men's tennis will ride a four-match winning streak into Ivy League play thanks to a 7-0 sweep of Buffalo on Sunday at Reis Tennis Center. Cornell (8-5) is ranked 52nd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Sophomore
Chris Vrabel won his eighth consecutive decision at the No. 5 singles position, topping Jonathan Hannestad, 6-4, 6-2. Five of the Big Red's six singles victories came in straight sets, with sophomore
Dylan Brown rallying to win at the No. 6 spot in a super tiebreaker. Sophomore Bernardo Casares has now won six straight matches at the No. 3 spot.
Cornell also won the doubles point for a fifth consecutive match, with the No. 2 tandem of senior

The Big Red, which improved to 25-1 all-time against the Bulls in spring dual matches, kicks off Ivy League play at 2 p.m. Saturday at 29th-ranked Columbia.
