ITHACA, N.Y. -- Rising sophomore
Taysia Radoslav, who recently finished a spectacular freshman year as a two-time All-American for the Big Red, won her first Canadian national title on Sunday afternoon in Edmonton, claiming the Canadian junior title in the 400 meter hurdles.
After winning her preliminary round heat yesterday in 59.41 she came back this morning to win the 400 meter hurdle final in 59.51. She has now earned a spot to represent Canada at the Pan-American Games in two weeks.
Radoslav's national championship adds to a remarkable year in which she earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 400 hurdles at the NCAA Finals in Eugene, Ore., and second-team All-America honors in the 4x400 relay.
