NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The women's squash team dropped a 9-0 decision to Yale on Saturday in its Ivy League opener. The loss drops the seventh-ranked Big Red to 2-1 on the season.
Fourth-ranked Yale (3-0) swept two of the matches in the opening wave, but Cornell was even at one set apiece in two of matches in the next rotation. The Bulldogs eventually pulled away to win its 23rd of 24 all-time meetings against the Big Red. Sophomore
Emma Uible had the best showing for Cornell, forcing five sets in her match at the No. 4 position.
The Big Red resumes its road trip of three matches in three days with a trip to Brown at 11 a.m. Sunday.
