UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- In a field that included nationally ranked Alabama and Denver, as well as the powerful hosts from Penn State, Cornell used a strong vaulting day to score a 191.000 on Saturday afternoon at Recreation Hall.
Freshman
Lyanda Dudley posted a 38.825 all-around score - a mark just .025 off her career-high that stands second all-time at Cornell. She finished sixth in the all-around competition bolstered by three scores 9.7 or better. She was the team's top finisher on vault (13th, 9.750), beam (14th, 9.750) and floor (15th, 9.700). Both
Malia Mackey and
Alicia Bair tied her on vault, finishing 13th along with her, while
Kaitlin Green was the team's top bars performer in 15th with a 9.775.
Cornell will host the Ivy Classic on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. at Newman Arena.
