David Eldredge won his 450th career game with the men's team as the Big Red topped Harvard 23-7 on Saturday evening at Oxley Equestrian Center. The Big Red improved to 11-2 on the season with the win
Eldredge, now 450-180-8 (.712) with the men, started
Dan Shaw,
Ignacio Masias and
Ryan Saul. Cornell dominated the play in the first but had difficulty finishing around the goal, but still led 5-2. In the second, Cornell's defense picked up and the home team extended its lead to 11-2 at the half. Saul and Shaw gave way to
Liam Palacios and
Liang Liang Feng for the second half. Cornell continued to control the match and pulled out to a 17-3 lead heading into the final chukker. Masias tallied 13 goals in the win, Palacios had five, Shaw and Saul had two each and Feng chipped in one.
