ITHACA, N.Y. – The equestrian team hosted the Ivy League show on Sunday afternoon at the Oxley Equestrian Center and came away with a perfect score to clinch the title. Five Big Red riders also claimed individual championships while senior co-captain
Victoria Whitworth was the High Point Rider.
The title was the program's second under head coach
Joanna Novakovic '03 and eighth overall.
Whitworth rode to two individual titles in Open Fences and Open Flat while sophomore
Vaughan Shanley in Intermediate Fences, senior
Claira Seely in Intermediate Flat, senior
Nicole Zitzmann in Novice Fences and sophomore
Madeline Kinnear in Walk Trot also had championship rides.
Whitworth got the day started with her first place ride in Open Fences while junior
Molly O'Shea was the Reserve Champion and senior
Carlee Roberts earned third place. Roberts also rode to third place in her section of Open Flat.

Jenna Beobide (third) and sophomore
Sam Levkulic (sixth) also rode in Novice Fences.
In Intermediate Flat, senior
Lauren Jaquay earned Reserve Champion in her section. In Novice Flat, sophomore
Emily Selland (third), freshman
Jada Davis (fourth), and sophomore
Emma Mayer (sixth) also turned in strong performances for Cornell.
Four riders competed in Walk Trot Canter for the Big Red, with
Callie Boozer taking third and sophomore
Laura Vasquez-Bolanos making her debut in the event for fourth, freshman
Kate Wagner winning her section for fifth and freshman
Stephanie Introne placing sixth in her section. Additionally, in Walk Trot, freshman
Mariam Khan took third and sophomore
Irene Vivancos-Koopman placed sixth.
The season is done for all but three Big Riders, as seniors
Amanda Ko, Seely and sophomore
Laura Vasquez-Bolanos have all qualified as individuals to compete at the IHSA national championships in May.
