ITHACA, N.Y. – Former Big Red men's lacrosse player
Marshall Peters has been honored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association as a USILA Scholar All-American. One of eight Ivy League players to earn the accolade, Peters honor runs Cornell's current streak to five consecutive seasons with at least one USILA Scholar All-American.
An honorable mention All-Ivy selection as a senior, Peters was a workhorse for the Big Red and played in every game of his four-year career. The long stick midfielder finished the season with 13 caused turnovers and picked up 34 ground balls. An invaluable member of the defense and the face-off unit, Peters ended his career ranked fourth all-time in Cornell history in caused turnovers (58) and 29th all-time in career ground balls (158).
To be named a Scholar All-American a player must be in his senior academic year and own a cumulative grade point average of 3.0. He must also be a candidate for All-American or a candidate to be a member of the North/South team.
