NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The men's squash team impressed this weekend at the Ivy Scrimmages, where it had strong showings against squads ranked ahead of it in the Dunlop College Squash Rankings.
Tabbed 15th in the nation coming into the season, the Big Red started off against third-ranked Columbia. Though the heavily favored Lions won, Cornell secured three points behind victories from junior
Jared Scherl, and freshmen
Charles Culhane and Nicholas Göth Errington. After an identical 6-3 loss to eighth-ranked Princeton, the Big Red recorded a solid 7-2 victory on Sunday against 14th-ranked Brown.
Cornell starts its season in earnest on Saturday, Nov. 17, when it hosts Williams at 11 a.m. before trekking to Rochester for a match at 6 p.m.
