Yohann Surti (No. 9) and sophomore Nicholas Göth Errington (No. 6) gave the Big Red an early 2-1 lead. It was Göth Errington's third consecutive victory.
After
Illia Presman sailed to a three-game victory at No. 5, Iyer outlasted his opponent at No. 8 in a match that required extra points three times. Iyer won with a 16th point in the fourth, and Cornell had a 4-3 lead entering the final two matches. With
Andy Muran entering the fifth game of his match at No. 1, Park secured the clinching point with a three-game win at No. 7.
The victory snapped Cornell's four-match losing streak to ninth-ranked Drexel (3-7) over the last three-plus years. The all-time series is now even, 4-4.
The Big Red will wrap up the home stand on Saturday with a match against Western Ontario.
