Lindsay Browning led the #3 Cornell women's ice hockey team as she stopped 48 shots to secure the 5-1 victory over host, #6 Ohio State, Saturday evening.

Senior forward
Paige Lewis opened the scoring in the third minute after she redirected a shot from senior defender

Ohio State answered with a tally about halfway through the first period and the game entered the first intermission tied at 1-1.

Junior forward
Maddie Mills scored what ended up being the game-winning goal with 8:18 on the second-period clock. Assisted by senior forward
Amy Curlew and senior defender
Micah Zandee-Hart, Mills snuck the puck into the net between the goalie's skate and the pole to put Cornell back in the lead.

The Big Red followed up with a sister-sister goal six minutes later. Sophomore forward
Gillis Frechette took the puck from a Buckeye in the Big Red's offensive corner and passed to junior forward
Finley Frechette, who then shot the puck from the hash marks for Cornell's third goal.

Mills scored her second power-play goal of the night with less than ten minutes left in the game, while senior forward
Kristin O'Neill helped to secure the win with an unassisted empty-net goal with 4:32 on the clock.

Ohio State outshot Cornell 49-23, while holding a slight edge in faceoffs 35-27.
