Clarke Petterson Selected Fifth Overall By The PLL Redwoods LC

ITHACA, N.Y. – In the inaugural collegiate draft of the newly formed Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), Cornell's Clarke Petterson was selected with the fifth overall pick by the Redwoods Lacrosse Club. The highest of the three Ivy League players selected, Petterson was the second attackman drafted behind only Loyola's Pat Spencer.

Earlier this season, Petterson was taken by the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse with the 12th overall pick.

A three-time captain at Cornell, Petterson enters the weekend ranked first in the nation in shooting percentage (.606), 12th in goals per game (3.08) and 30th in points per game (4.23). One of the most consistent scorers in the nation, he has the longest point-scoring streak on the team, and the 19th-longest in the nation (28 games). He also ranks ninth in Cornell history in career goals (108) and is 10th all-time in career points (165).
