ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men's track and field team will compete in the 125th running of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field from Thursday-Saturday, before hosting the Big Red Invitational on Sunday at the Kane Sports Complex.

The first men's event of the Penn Relays is the 3000m steeplechase, which is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. On Friday the men's discus throw will kick things off for the field events, while the men's 400m hurdles will start the track events. Both are set to begin at 9 a.m.

The Big Red Invitational is currently set to start at 10 a.m. with the men's hammer throw followed immediately by the women's portion of the event. The first event on the track is set for 11:30 a.m. with the women's 100m hurdles and will be followed by the men's 110m hurdles. A finalized schedule will be announced before the meet.

The Big Red competed last week at the Virginia Challenge and at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational. In Virginia, sophomore Sam Oravec shattered his PR with a leap of 7.41m (24-3.75 ft.) in the long jump. In Princeton, freshman Alex Mocarski claimed first place in the unseeded portion of the 1500m.

Following both meets, Cornell will enter the championship portion of its outdoor schedule beginning with Heps on May 4-5, in Princeton, New Jersey.
