ITHACA, N.Y. – The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced that Cornell junior
Jeff Teat has been named a Tewaaraton Award nominee for the second year in a row. Teat had previously been named to the 50+ player Watch List earlier in the season,
One of just five Ivy Leaguers and 14 juniors to make the list, Teat was a first-team Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American. He enters this weekend ranked 10th in the nation in assists per game (2.62) and is 14th overall in points per game (4.77). He has registered at least two points in every game this season, and has posted five or more points in more than half of Cornell's games (7).
Teat needs just two goals to become the 11th player in Big Red history to reach 100 career goals. He will also be just the sixth player in Ivy League history, and third overall at Cornell, to register 100 goals and 100 assists in a career.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
