ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell men's basketball team will welcome five newcomers for the upcoming 2019-20 campaign. Four incoming student-athletes will make up the Class of 2023, while one transfer will sit out the upcoming season before having two years of eligibility for head coach

Fr. I G I 6-3 I 175 I Williamsville, N.Y. (Northfield Mount Hermon School)
• Earned second-team All-NEPSAC honors as a postgraduate player at Northfield Mount Hermon School.
• Captained the team in his only season, helping the team record a school record 32 wins (32-6) with a AAA championship.
• Averaged 12.5 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest.
• Was a three-time all-state selection, including a first-team pick as a senior, and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball in New York State at Williamsville South HS.
• Named the New York State Class A Player of the Year.
• Became one of sixth players in history to be named first team All-Western New York three straight years.
• Captured second-team all-state accolades as a junior and third-team honors during his sophomore year.
• Was a three-time team captain.
• Graduated as the all-time leader in scoring (2,019 points), rebounding (702 rebounds) and steals (384 steals) while helping his team compile an 81-15 record.
• Averaged 28.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 7.1 steals and 6.9 assists per game as a senior after posting 23.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.8 steals per contest.
• Scored 18.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.2 steals as a sophomore.

• Averaged 14.0 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while shooting 58 percent from the floor as a senior at Albany Academy, helping guide the team to the state federation final.
• Named sixth-team all-state and to the Times Union All-Star team as a senior captain.
• Earned a spot on the News Channel 13 high school all-star team in his final campaign.
• Was a New York State Section 2 Scholar-Athlete in 2018.
• Member of two state and federation championship teams (sophomore and junior seasons).
• Averaged 3.9 points and 5.9 rebounds as a junior.
• Played a postgraduate year at Phillips Academy Andover, averaging 8.8 points per contest.
Fr. I F I 6-5 I 195 I Thousand Oaks, Calif. (Phillips Exeter Academy)
• Jones was named the NEPSAC Class A Player of the Year after leading Phillips Exeter to a conference title.
• Averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game in his postgrad season.
• Captured first-team all-league and all-county honors and was named league MVP as a senior at Oaks Christian School.
• Averaged 23.0 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while leading the team to the CIF Division 2A quarterfinals.
• Led the team in points, rebounds and steals.
• Named a San Fernando Valley and Ventura County All-Star.
• Named to the county and league all-academic teams as a junior and senior.
• Earned first-team all-county and second-team all-league and all-CIF as a junior after averaging 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest.
• Twice named team captain and MVP.

• Averaged 10.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.9 steals while shooting 42 percent from the floor and 35 percent from 3-point range in 29 contests (12 starts) as a sophomore at VMI.
• Had 15 double figure scoring games.
• Posted a career high 22 points in the first round Southern Conference tournament win over Western Carolina.
• Had 19 points and set career best marks with five 3-pointers and four steals vs. The Citadel.
• Pulled down a career-high seven rebounds at Furman.
• Scored 19 points with four 3-pointers against North Alabama.
• Netted 17 points while hitting 6-of-9 from the floor against Western Carolina.
• Scored 13 points with three made 3-pointers at Virginia Tech.
• Averaged 15.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals while hitting 13-of-21 3-pointers (62 percent) over the season's final four contests.
• Saw action in all 30 contests as a freshman, posting 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per outing.
• Second on the team with a .378 3-point percentage for the season.
• Had 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting against Southern Wesleyan.
• Was 3-for-6 from the floor with seven points in his collegiate debut at N.C. State.
• Averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists as a senior at the Tilton School.
• Won the McMorrow Scholar-Athlete award three times and carried a 4.0 GPA with honors at Tilton.
• Spent one postgraduate season at Hargrave Military Academy.

• Uzoka earned first-team all-state honors as a senior at Fort Bend Christian Academy.
• Twice named first-team academic all-state.
• Was a two-time first-team all-district choice, earning the FBCA Scholar-Athlete Award as a senior.
• Selected to the state all-tournament team as a senior.
