ITHACA, N.Y. – Peter Milliman, the Richard M. Moran Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse, and assistant coach Connor Buczek '15 guided the U.S. men's lacrosse indoor team to its fifth straight bronze medal at the 2019 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, which wrapped up Saturday in Langley, British Columbia.

Buczek, who tallied four goals and three assists in six appearances over the course of the tournament, helped the U.S. secure its fifth consecutive World Indoor Lacrosse medal, as the team has placed third at every World Indoor Lacrosse Championship since the quadrennial competition began in 2003. Milliman also played a vital role in the team's success, serving as an assistant coach.

The U.S. secured a spot in the quarterfinals after opening up the tournament with a 2-2 record in pool play, defeating Israel (18-10) and England (22-3) while falling to perennial powerhouses Canada (16-6) and the Iroquois (12-10). Buczek came up big in the team's quarterfinal matchup against the Czech Republic, notching two goals and an assist in the U.S.'s 17-3 victory.

The U.S. finished the tournament with a 4-3 overall record, falling just short of qualifying for the for the WILC gold medal game.
