Jendritz, Williams Finish Strong on Day Two of NCAA Zone A Diving Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – On the second day of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Tuesday, Cornell women's swimming and diving freshman Elise Jendritz and sophomore Demetra Williams closed out their 2019-20 seasons strong, both turning in solid scores in the 3-meter diving at West Virginia's Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.Va.

Jendritz was Cornell's top women's finisher of the day, placing 26th overall among 56 divers with 259.00 points. Williams finished not far behind in 30th, recording a personal-best score of 252.05. Williams' point total improves her to fifth all-time in Cornell history in the 3-meter diving.

Jendritz and Williams close out their 2019-20 campaigns having each broken a school record, as Jendritz owns the top 3-meter mark in Big Red women's swimming and diving history (306.05 points) and Williams' has the top 1-meter mark in the Cornell record books (266.50 points). Both women posted these point totals at the 2020 Ivy League Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
