This marks Derraugh's fifth ECAC Hockey Coach of the Year award. He previously earned the distinction in 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2019. The 15th year head coach guided the Big Red to its first-ever undefeated season in league play notching the second-straight regular-season league championship with a 19-0-3 ECACH record.
Bourbonnais, who was named an All-ECAC Hockey and All-Ivy League First Team member, is second in the nation amongst defensemen in points per game with an average of 1.29. The Mississauga, Ontario native is also fifth in the nation in assists per game (1.06). The senior defender earns the ECAC Hockey Best Defenseman award for the second-straight year after notching a point in 29 of the 31 games on the season to lead the team in points (40) and assists (33). Third in the league, eighth in the nation, Bourbonnais' +37 rank leads the team while her +88 career rank is tied for seventh in program history.
Sweeping Cornell's goalie awards (Ivy League and ECAC Hockey Goalie of the Year, First Team All-Ivy League and All-ECAC Hockey), Browning has had a standout season with the Big Red so far. She has consistently been the top goalie in the ECAC Hockey league, and on the top-two in the nation, in save percentage and goals against average. Currently, Browning's .88 goals against average and 11 shutouts are first in the nation while her .953 save percentage is second, behind only Northeastern's Aerin Frankel. The Penfield, N.Y. native has earned a nation-leading 21-game unbeaten streak. Closing out the regular season with 25 wins, she broke the program's record for wins in a season.
The Big Red takes on Harvard for the league semifinal game on Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m. at Lynah Rink. Should Cornell win, it will advance to the ECAC Hockey Championship game on Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m.
