PHILADELPHIA — Sophomore
Sivasangari Subramaniam's run at the College Squash Association Individual National Championships came to close on Saturday with a loss to Harvard's Hana Moataz at Penn Squash Center.
Seeded second in the Ramsay Trophy bracket, which is the top flight for the 80 qualifiers for the three-day event, Subramaniam was upset by sixth-seeded Moataz in three games that all went to extra points. By advancing to this point, Subramaniam will earn All-America first team status for the first time.
Cornell had two other competitors at the event, both competing in the brackets of the Holleran Cup – but both were eliminated from contention Friday. The Big Red concludes its season ranked 11th in the country by the College Squash Association.
