ITHACA, N.Y. – In its second home show of the fall, the Cornell equestrian team placed second, earning the title of Reserve High Point Team on Sunday at the Oxley Equestrian Center in Ithaca, N.Y.

In total, the Big Red finished the show with five individual-event winners and 10 top-three finishes. Senior Hannah Braun highlighted the winners on the day, winning her pre-novice class for the third-straight show to ultimately point out of the division into novice.

Senior Tara Tremmel had a strong showing in her events, winning her limit flat class and adding a third-place finish in limit fences. Tremmel wasn't the only one who excelled in limit flat, however, as junior Alexandra Miranda won her class as well. Senior Annaliese Hines added a second-place finish.

Seniors Liza Pacchiana and Anjali Velu both notched victories in their respective classes. In her season debut, Pacchiana placed first in intermediate flat, while Velu captured her third win of the season in open fences.

Senior Amanda Lazar and junior Ashley Ardila gave the Big Red a pair of second-place showings in introductory, with Lazar's coming in her collegiate debut. Junior Isabel Hall was the final top-three finisher of the day for Cornell, placing second in intermediate fences.

After pointing out of limit flat and into intermediate flat last weekend, Katherine Philipp secured a top-five finish in her first show competing in the division, placing fourth. In addition to Braun pointing out of pre-novice and into novice, senior Indigo Pavlov also pointed out on Sunday. Pavlov moves up from novice to limit flat and fences.

The Cornell equestrian team will be back in action when it competes in its final two shows of the fall season at Nazareth on Nov. 20-21 in Rochester, N.Y.
