Dartmouth handled the Big Red in the first set, winning 25-12. The Big Red then found its rhythm in set two, jumping out to a 9-5 lead, early. The Big Green responded with a 6-2 run to knot the set at 11. Cornell battled to hold the lead to 18-17, but back-to-back points by the Green moved Dartmouth ahead 19-18. Cornell fought for a 20-19 lead, but a 6-1 run by Dartmouth closed set two at 25-21.
Dartmouth looked like it was about to run away with the match, taking a quick 4-1 lead, but Cornell tallied nine straight points to build a six-point lead at 10-4. The Big Red dropped the next six points, allowing Dartmouth back into the set. Cornell kept the set close the rest of the way, remaining within three or fewer, but Dartmouth closed out the set to win 25-23.
