ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell gymnastics team won three individual events and the all-around, cruising past Springfield for a 191.075-186.300 dual meet victory on Sunday morning at Newman Arena. The Big Red had 10 individual scores of 9.6 or better in the team's fifth straight meet above a 191.000.

Cornell's best event on the day came right out of the gate, scoring a 48.225 with three of the top four event finishers. Regina Walton won with a 9.725, holding off Sydney Beers (9.700) and Miranda Lund (9.625).

The Big Red moved to bars, with Melanie Stone's 9.500 leading the field. All six Cornell gymnasts topped Springfield's high score of 9.300 on the event, with Beers (9.475) and Walton (9.425) going 2-3.

On beam, Lund's 9.725 was best with Walton tying for second at 9.700. Floor was the only event the Big Red didn't take, though Lund tied for second with a 9.625 and both Beers and Caitlyn Walsh weren't far behind with dual 9.6's.

The Big Red will be back in action at the Ivy Classic on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. when it visits Yale for the four-team event.
