ITHACA, N.Y. – The only Big Red diver competing in the bunch, Cornell women's swimming and diving junior Elise Jendritz did her team proud in its home pool, winning both the 1- and 3-meter diving disciplines at the Big Red Diving Invitational on Saturday at Teagle Pool.
Competing against divers from Colgate and Ivy League foe Yale, Jendritz swept the competition, accruing 274.50 points in the 1-meter and 295.40 points in the 3-meter to surpass everyone in both events.
This marks the third time this season that Jendritz has come away from a meet as a double-winner, and the second time she's gone two-for-two against Yale, also having done so in the two teams' Ivy dual on Jan. 15.
The Cornell women's swimming and diving team now has its sights set on the 2022 Ivy League Women's Swimming and Diving Championships scheduled for Feb. 16-19 in Cambridge, Mass.
