ITHACA, N.Y. – The women's tennis team won its first dual match of the season on Saturday with a 7-0 sweep of Colgate at Reis Tennis Center.
Cornell (1-7) improved to 16-0 all-time against Colgate (5-4), dropping just a total of two games across the three doubles matches before rolling to straight-set victories in all six singles tilts. Freshman
Lan Mi improved to 6-1 from the #1 spot, and sophomore
Jenny Wong won for a second straight match after being bumped up a spot to #5. Senior
Valerie Ho won love-love at #4.
The Big Red returns to Reis for its next two matches when it hosts Buffalo at 3 p.m. Friday and Binghamton at 11 a.m. Saturday.
