ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's track and field team had another record-breaking weekend from
Tomas Kersulis and a pair of podium finishes, including a victory, for
Christian Martin in the hurdles to lead its efforts at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic and Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational this past weekend.
Bison Outdoor Classic
•
Jack Lenz finished fourth in the 1500 meters (3:55.60) on Friday, the lone top 10 event finisher for the Big Red on Friday evening.
• Sophomore
Justin Wei was fifth in the 110 hurdles, clocking a 14.79.
•
Jelani Williams claimed 10th in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.99m (45-10 3/4).
Larry Ellis Invitational
•
Damian Hackett was 10th in the 1500m with a time of 3:45.79, the eighth-fastest time in school history.
•
Ian Frost grabbed ninth in the hammer with a long toss of 56.75m (186-2).
•
Christian Martin took second in the 110 hurdles in 14.03, just .01 behind Army West Point's Justin Young with the seventh-fastest time in Cornell history.
• Martin came back to win the 400 hurdles in 53.29, just ahead of Saint Joseph's Kyle Magee (53.40), with senior
Billy Powers taking 10th in the event 54.82.

Tomas Kersulis was clocked at 46.51 in the 400 meters, lowering his own school record in the process to grab second overall.
•
Angus Dove was fifth in the 400, crossing the tape in 48.06.
• Kersulis also finished second in the 200 meters in 21.07, the ninth-best mark all-time at Cornell.
• In the 800,
Rhys Hammond (1:51.44) and
Damian Hackett (1:52.01) finished first and second, respectively.
• Sophomore
Brad Morell claimed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 17.00 (55-9 1/4), tied for the seventh-longest in school history.

Otreyvien Taylor claimed fifth in the high jump with a best mark of 2.01m (6-7).
•
Shane Racey grabbed second in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.92m (16-1 3/4), with
Dylan Rodgers seventh (4.77m, 15-7 3/4).
The Big Red will send competitors to the Virginia Challenge beginning on Friday, April 22 in Charlottesville, Va.
