PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Cornell will have some ground to make up after day one at the Ivy League Championship on Friday morning at the Century Country Club, closing out the first 18 holes in seventh place after shooting a collective 318. The Big Red is four shots out of sixth.
Josh Lundmark is the team' leader with his first round six-over-par 77 ranking tied for 15th. Lundmark is the lone Big Red golfer in the top 20 after day one. The Big Red was the first team to go off during the morning, and the junior was one-over-par after the 10th hole. He closed the round with a birdie on 18 and is two shots out of an All-Ivy finish through the first day.
August Lascola shot a 79 to place 22nd, one shot ahead of
Benjamin Choe's 80 that put him 27th.
Samuel King and
Martin Gutierrez both shot 82s to round out the scoring and are tied for 31st.
The Big Red will tee off beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 23.
