ITHACA, N.Y. -- No. 49 Princeton claimed three straight set singles wins and cruised to a 4-0 win over the Cornell women's tennis team on Friday afternoon at the Reis Tennis Center. The Tigers improved to 10-10 (5-1 Ivy), while the Big Red slipped to 8-11 (3-3 Ivy) with the loss.
Princeton won at the first two doubles spot to grab the first point, then picked up straight sets victories at No. 3, 4 and 5 to claim the win. Cornell's
Lauren Stein won the first set at No. 2 singles and claimed an early 2-1 lead in the third, but that match went unfinished after the Tigers closed out the win.
Cornell will close out the regular season when it travels to No. 63 Penn on Sunday, April 24 at 1 p.m.
