ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell senior Brooke Shachoy has been named to the All-Ivy second team as a skipper it was announced today by the conference office. The team was voted on by the conference's five head coaches.

Shachoy, the 2022 MAISA Sailor of the Year, earned a spot on the inaugural All-Ivy second team after helping the Big Red to a ninth place finish at Team Race Nationals this past weekend. She was a second-team all-MAISA pick as a freshman in 2018-19 before missing a season and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Big Red will attempt to qualify for Coed Nationals when it sails for the America Trophy beginning on Saturday, April 30 at Kings Point, N.Y. The top two team finishers will earn automatic bids to the championship, while other teams will have to wait out at-large selections.
