A pair of four-goal Big Red runs, one that bridged the first and second and the other that split the second and third quarters, allowed the home team to surge past Dartmouth. Cornell never let Dartmouth back within the three-goal deficit when the game ended.
Cornell clinched its 17th winning Ivy League mark in the past 21 seasons - the Big Red had never accomplished it even once in its first 20 seasons. With its 16 goals, Cornell's season total increased to 206 - two shy of joining the top five in school history. It also moved to third in single season draw controls (211), moving within 11 of matching the school record set in 2017.
Cornell, the No. 3 seed, will face Ivy League runner-up in the first semifinal on Friday, May 6 at 4 p.m. at Princeton's Class of 1952 Field.
