ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's lightweight rowing team celebrates 150 years with the annual Schwartz Cup class race day on Saturday, October 1. The weekend will consist of honoring alumni, building anticipation for the 2023 season, and cutting glass with intra-squad races on the Cayuga Inlet.

Formerly titled the Treman Cup, the even was renamed for alumni Dick and Jean Schwartz 35 years ago and is about history, tradition, fun and camaraderie for Cornell rowers and alumni alike.
On The Horizon
• The Big Red return to the water on Sunday, October 23 with a race day at the Head of the Charles in Boston, Massachusetts. The team will get its first taste of 2023 inter-squad competition at the regatta. Following, the Cornell men's lightweight rowing team will race at the Cornell Fall Classic on Saturday, October 29 in Ithaca, N.Y. and Princeton Chase on Sunday, November 6 in Princeton, N.J.
