Penn State Rewind
Game One
The No.10-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team defeated No.13-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions 4-1 on Friday night in the season opener from Lynah Rink. Cornell moved to 1-0-0 on the season, while the Nittany Lions dropped to 1-5-1.
Junior forwardÂ
Katie Chan, a transfer from Colgate, netted two Big Red goals in her Big Red debut. Freshman goaltenderÂ
Annelies Bergmann, who took the net for the first time of her Cornell career, registered 14 saves between the pipes and accumulated a .933 save percentage.
Game Two
The No. 10-ranked Cornell women's ice hockey team earned a 5-2Â victory on the second side of a back-to-back against No. 13-ranked Penn State, completing the weekend sweep.Â

The Series
Cornell  currently leads the all-time series, 14-1-0. The last time the two squads met, the Big Red ran away with a 4-1 victory in Syracuse. The Orange earned their lone series win in the first ever meeting between the squads (2010), 2-1, in overtime at Lynah Rink
Opponent Breakdown
Syracuse will enter the night with a 3-3-0 record. The Orange are currently 2-1 on the road after opening the season with a sweep at Post, and will make their way to East Hill with an upset in mind.Â
Kate Holmes (four - 1g, 3a), Darci Johal (four - 1g, 3a), Heidi Knoll (three - 3g, 0a), and Mik Todd (two - 2 goals) are at the top of the team's leader board in points. Allie Kelley has started six games between the pipes, registering 171 saves and a .924 save percentage.
Sharing The Wealth
The Big Red showed to be unselfish with the puck in the weekend opener against the No. 13-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. Cornell accumulated 13 assists and featured seven different goal scorers over the course of the two games.
Chan and Delianedis are tied for the team lead in goals with two apiece. Danie is the front runners as far as assists are concerned, with five. Dwyer is right on her heels, having served three assists this weekend.
Bergmann was the net minder in both of Cornell's matchups this past weekend. The freshman goaltender racked up 32 saves, and holds a .914 save percentage.
Daniel, 100th Career Point
Izzy Daniel exploded for a six-point weekend, registering her points on one goal and five assists. Daniel eclipsed her 100th-career point in the process, now having 105.
