CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Cornell women's polo team lost 20-2 to Virginia and 22-0 to Kentucky at the University of Virginia Fall Tournament over the weekend.
Cornell (1-2) got goals from juniors Isabelle Braden and Ava Ramachandran in its matchup against Kentucky.
"Given that our team is less experienced this year, our work was cut out for us from the get-go," Anthony Condo, the Peter B. Orthwein '68 Head Coach of Polo, said. "On a positive note, this team does not lack heart or determination at all and plays with a tremendous amount of grit, it's just that they had trouble with some of the execution at key moments. We know now where to focus our efforts going forward to get this team in a better position to be successful come tournament time."
