ALFRED, N.Y. — The Cornell University equestrian team recorded its second straight perfect scorecard and fourth straight high point over the weekend at the Alfred Show.
Sophomore Riley Gerardo (intermediate fences/open flat), junior Jillian Steinmetz (intermediate flat/intermediate fences), junior Emma Basher (intermediate fences), sophomore Gillian Roche (limit fences/limit flat), senior Emily Pecsok (limit flat), junior Lauren Benson (pre-novice) and sophomore Uma Comfort (introductory) recorded first-place finishes. Gerardo and Roche were high-point riders.
Head coach Joanna Novakovic, in her 10th season in charge of the Big Red, said this marks the first time her team has posted two perfect scorecards in a row.
