Six Big Red Alumni Claim Rivalry Series For Team Canada

LAVAL, QC - Six Cornell Big Red alumni claimed the Rivalry Series victory as representatives of Team Canada. Team USA jumped out to a 3-0 start to the series putting Canada on it's heels. Canada responded to the pressure by ripping off four consecutive wins and completing the reverse sweep. Game six was a critical game in the series as USA just needed one more victory to seal the series. The Big Red skaters played a crucial role in this game to keep hope alive for Team Canada in it's 5-1 series-tying victory over USA, scoring or assisting on four out of five Canada goals.

Big Red Contributions
Brianne Jenner finished fourth overall in series points (five), which can be attributed to her second-place ranking in assists (four). Rebecca Johnston (two), Micah Zandee-Hart (one), Jaime Bourbonnais (one) also registered points for Canada by way of assists. Current Big Red blue-liner Rory Guilday also saw three games of action for Team USA early in the series, where she managed to register a key assist in USA's 2-1 victory in game two.
