ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell women's ice hockey alumni Brianne Jenner '15, Micah Zandee-Hart '20 and Kristin O'Neill '20 were named to the 2026 Canadian Olympic roster. The
2026 Olympic Winter Games will take place February 6-22, 2026, in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy. The women's ice hockey tournament is slated to be staged in Milan. While the groups have been established, the final competition has yet to be announced.
Groups:
A - Canada, United States, Finland, Czechia, Switzerland
B - Japan, Sweden, Germany, Italy, France
Jenner, a three-time Olympic medalist (two gold and one silver), will be making her fourth appearance in the Olympic games. She captured a gold medal in 2014 when Canada rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat the United States 3-2 in overtime. During the 2018 games, the United States would take the contest in a thrilling 2-2 shootout victory, landing Jenner with her second medal, but this time silver.
In 2022, Jenner helped Canada redeem themselves back to gold status, defeating the Americans 3-2. Zandee-Hart was also apart of the 2022 Olympic gold medal Canadian team, becoming the first British Columbia-born woman to represent Canada in Olympic ice hockey. O'Neill will be joining Jenner and Zandee-Hart for her first ever Olympic action.
