ITHACA, N.Y. - Women's ice hockey finished second in the Ivy-League and has four Big Red skaters named to 2022-23 All-Ivy teams.
Senior forward
Gillis Frechette was named to the first team following a 47-point season on 18 goals and 29 assists. Frechette took the league by storm scoring 17 of those points against Ivy competition. The senior captain is always unselfish with the puck. 13 of her 17 Ivy-League points served as Big Red goal helpers. She is joined on the top team by Freshmen defensewoman
Alyssa Regalado, who finished the year with 41 blocks and a hat trick. Regalado showed up in all 10 Ivy-League matchups in a injury-riddled season for the Big Red. The freshman was second (Ivy) on the squad in blocked shots proving her commitment to keeping the puck away from the Cornell goaltender.
Junior forward
Izzy Daniel was named to the second team, after leading the Big Red with 48 points on 18 goals and 30 assists. She shows exceptional precision, finding the back of the net on nearly 20% of the shots she took in Ivy-League play. Daniel has performed excellent on and off the ice, as she has also earned her way onto the 2022-23 Academic All-Ivy list.
Freshmen defensewoman
Grace Dwyer received honorable-mention for a campaign where she put it all one the blue-line, skating in front of 37 shots to keep the puck away from goal. Dwyer also provided the Big Red with consistent toughness, appearing in all 10 games of Ivy-League action.
