ITHACA, N.Y. — Following its 7-0 victory over Binghamton on Saturday morning, the Cornell women's tennis team recorded its 11th consecutive victory over its Central New York rival.
Cornell (4-11) has now registered 7-0 wins over Binghamton in six of its last seven meetings, as the Big Red has won three of its last four overall matches.
The Big Red claimed the opening point following a 6-2 victory by sophomore

Tanya Fan at the No. 3 doubles match. Freshman

Lauren Stein teamed up to solidify Cornell's first point with a 7-5 victory at the top doubles position.
In singles action, all six singles matches favored Cornell as the Big Red claimed straight-set victories in all matches. Fan, Baker, and fellow freshman
Sofia Iantosca each dropped one point in their matches. Stein logged a pair of 6-1 victories and Mi had a 6-2, 6-3 win at the top singles match.
Senior
Fatima El Ashram won a tiebreak in the first set, 7-6 (4), before coasting in the second set, 6-1.
Looking Ahead
Cornell returns to Ivy League play on Friday, April 7, when it hosts Penn at the Reis Tennis Center for a match beginning at 2 p.m. The Big Red will also travel to Princeton on Sunday, April 9, for a 1 p.m. match against the No. 52-ranked Tigers.
