KINGSTON, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's golf team closed out the regular season with a runner-up finish at the rain-shortened Roar-EE Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Wiltwyck Golf Club. Cornell shot a 282 to finish the 18-hole tournament one shot behind Holy Cross and tied with Penn.

The Big Red was six-under-par for the day with Josh Lundmark leading the way with a 3-uder 69, good for sixth place overall. Benjamin Choe was one shot behind with a 70 (12th overall), while Samuel King also was in the green with a 71 for 17th. Also finishing among the top 20 with an even-par 72 was Jackson Debusschere. Noah Schwartz was the fifth golfer in the lineup for the Big Red, placing 36th with a 74. He tied with Weston Warden, who played as an individual and carded a 74 as well.

The Big Red was nearly two-thirds of the way through the second and final round when the rains came, and at that point had climbed into sole possession of second place before the teams were pulled off the course.

Cornell will compete in the Ivy League Championship beginning on Friday, April 21 at the Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn. for a three-day, 54-hole event.
