GREENWICH, Conn. -- Senior 
Josh Lundmark led a charge over the back nine as the Cornell men's golf team finished day one of the 2023 Ivy League Championship in driving distance of the leaders at the Stanwich Club. The Big Red sits tied for fifth overall after shooting a first round 310, just 10 shots behind leader Dartmouth (300).
Lundmark led the way for Cornell, flirting with the top five all afternoon before settling in fourth with a one-over-par 73. He poured in three birdies for a 33 on the back nine to make a run after bogeying the first two holes and four overall before he made the turn. 
Samuel King (77) and 
Noah Schwartz (78) finished up within one stroke of each other, with King finishing in the top half of the field and Schwartz just under the cut. 
Jackson Debusschere was the fourth scorer with an 82, while 
Benjamin Choe carded an 83 in the first round.
Cornell's 310 left it tied with Yale, a shot behind Yale for fourth, eight shots out of second and 10 behind the Big Green. Cornell's score was two shots clear of seventh-place Penn after the first of three rounds.
