DURHAM, N.C. - Women's track and field has been on the rise during the course of the outdoor campaign and would continue that trend this weekend at the Duke Invitational.
Quincy Hansen out-vaulted the opposition in group B by .15 meters en route to a 3.95-meter top-spot finish. Cornell fielded a third-place 4x100-relay squad of
Ama Boham,
Jada Smith,
Bella Davis, and
Lauren Jones that crossed the tape in 47.70 seconds. Boham also raced her way into the top-10 of the 100-meter hurdles with her 14.49-second time.
Three Big Red high-jumpers were tied for sixth (
Catalina Zaloj,
Margaux Rawson, and
Olivia Rodriguez) with a mark of 1.61 meters.
Noelle Elkinton had a strong outing in her shot put attempts placing fifth (13.82 meters).
Gwen Parks registered a personal-best 2:11.38 completion in the 800-meter run, which was good for seventh-place.
