Emily Pecsok represented the Big Red well on the national stage, earning a third place finish at the 2023 IHSA National Championships. Pecsok competed in the Hunter Seat Individual Novice Equitation.
She is the 15th Cornellian to compete at Nationals under Head Coach
Joanna Novakovic `03. Pecsok was able to qualify for the National Championship by first qualifying for the regional's finals. She finished in the top two, which allowed her to move forward to the Zone Finals. She secured a second place finish in the Novice class, which earned her a spot on the national stage. She has placed in the top four in every show she has rode in this season, including four first-place novice rides, most recently topping the podium at the Regionals show on March 5th.
The Big Red conclude the season with seven high-point finishes across 11 team competitions this season. Cornell won the Ivy Championship, as well as finishing at first overall in the Regionals.
