HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England - Men's heavyweight crew gave it their all in three races at the Henley Royal Regatta, ultimately falling to Washington on Friday evening for the Temple Challenge Cup. The Big Red and the Huskies were neck and neck for the first stretch of strokes, but Washington would gain momentum to pull away in convincing fashion by a verdict of 2 1/2 lengths. Cornell finishes the regatta with a 2-1 record, with their victories coming against the University of Surrey and Durham University.
