HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The Cornell golf team sits eleventh after shooting a combined 603 over 54 holes of play Saturday afternoon at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial hosted by Colgate.
Freshman
Viktor Stollinger put in the lowest card of the day in his team debut for the Big Red, shooting a 148 overall, including a team-low 1-under-par 71, to wrap up the day to sit in a tie for 27th overall after two rounds. Junior
Matt Simon was right behind Stollinger, carding a combined 150 over the two rounds of play, including knocking six strokes off his first round 6-over-par 78 with an even-par-72 in his second round.Â

Jackson Debusschere also improved his score in the second 18 played on the day, going from a 5-over-par 77 to a 3-over-par 75 to finish the day with a 152. Junior

Weston Warden (162) rounded out the team scoring for the Big Red.Â
Yale currently leads the way after shooting a 564, followed by Villanova (577), Seton Hall (584), Lehigh (584), and Holy Cross (585) to round out the top five.Â
As a team, Cornell sits just five strokes behind both Binghamton (598) and St. Bonaventure (598).
Despite the standings, the Big Red shaved 17 strokes off their first round total of 301 with a 293 and are looking to build on that momentum as the tournament heads into its final round on Sunday morning. The first golfers tee off at 9 a.m. from Seven Oaks Golf Course.
