UPDATE: Sailing Seeks Fifth First-Place Finish of the Year When it Returns to Kings Point

UPDATE: All sailing events at Kings Point have been canceled this weekend due to inclement weather.

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Cornell sailing team is on the hunt for its fifth first-place finish when it returns to Kings Point on Saturday, September 23 through Sunday, September 24 to race in the Top 9 ILCA 7 and MAISA Top 9 Combined regattas. The Big Red has topped the leader board in all but one regatta so far this year, finishing third at the Kings Point Open Invite.

Cornell is set to race one boat in the Top 9 ILCA 7 singlehanded regatta. The Big Red will take on two boats from Georgetown, Hobart and William Smith, St. Mary's, Kings Point, and Yale, while also facing solo boats from Old Dominion, Navy, and South Florida.

The MAISA Top 9 Combined Regatta will be divided into two divisions, with each team racing one boat in each. The Big Red are set to take on Fordham, George Washington, Georgetown, Hobart and William Smith, Old Dominion, St. Mary's, Kings Point, Navy, and Penn.

Following this weekend, the Big Red will travel to Navy for the Women's ACC Semifinals, hosted by Navy, and the SUNY Open, hosted by Maritime.
