LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -- The Cornell men's golf team sits in eighth place after carding a 593 during the first two rounds of the Columbia Autumn Invitational held Saturday at the Lake Placid Club.
Junior
Tyler Zimmer had a strong 36 holes for the Big Red, carding a 145 to sit in a tie for 12th at 3-over. Freshman
Viktor Stollinger also put in a solid round, shooting a 4-over 146 for a six-way tie for 18th. Freshman
Tyler Debusschere and junior
Char Russekoff are tied for 26th after shooting a 148, while junior
Tyler Debusschere sits five spots behind at 7-over.Â
Junior
Weston Warden (74-76-150) and
Tismark Boham (79-79-158) rounded out the score card for the Big Red.Â
Sacred Heart's Marcus Lim sits at the top of the current leaderboard after carding an 8-under 134 through 36 holes, while last year's medalist from Columbia, Nathan Han, is two strokes off the lead at 6-under. Columbia currently holds a one-shot advantage over Dartmouth on the team leaderboard, followed by Bryant (9-over), Colgate (12-over) and Sacred Heart (14-over) to round out the top five.
The final round of the Columbia Autumn Invitational commences tomorrow morning with a shotgun start scheduled for 8:45 a.m.Â
