ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell Sailing grabbed fourth place at the Women's ACC Finals, hosted by Navy, this weekend while also placing in the top half of the pack at the David Lee Arnoff Trophy and Nevins Trophy over the weekend. The Big Red finished third of six at the David Lee Arnoff Trophy, hosted by William Smith, while a separate Cornell delegation wrapped up a ninth-place finish at the Nevins Trophy, hosted by the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

At Navy, the Big Red raced across two divisions, finishing fifth overall in both, combining for 239 points and tying with third-place Brown before dropping the tie-breaker. The A Division was raced by senior Bridget Green as the skipper, while junior Sophia Mulvania and sophomore Kate Moran shared crew duties. Sophomore Winnborne Majette skippered the B division with Moran and senior Amelia Neumann on the crew. Both groups combined for seven podium finishes.

At William Smith, the Big Red finished just five points shy of second-place finisher, Vermont. Cornell again competed across two divisions. The Big Red finished atop the B Division and fourth in the A Division. Marcus Greco and Theodore Taylor were the Big Red in the B Division while Boris Bialer skippered for sophomore Wynne Williams in the A division. The teams combined for nine podium finishes.

The Big Red once again fielded boats across two divisions, this time at the Nevis Trophy. In the A Division, juniors Sophia Devling and Maya Conway combined skipper efforts while junior Sophia Perace and freshman Hope Campbell crewed. The group combined for 130 points and a ninth-place finish. In the B Division, freshman Gilda Thompson and sophomore Pilar Cundey served as skippers while freshmen Hope Campbell and Ava Stevens, along with Pearce, crewed. The group finished 10th in the division with 124 points.

Cornell dials it back to a single outing next week when the team takes on the Open ACC Finals on Saturday, October 19, through Sunday, October 20, hosted by Boston College.
