ITHACA, N.Y. — The Cornell women's polo team will compete at the Oxley Equestrian Center for the first time this year on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7:00 p.m. against the Central New York Polo Club (CNY).
Cornell is coming off of its season opening road victory against Skidmore where the Big Red defeated the Thoroughbreds 15-8. Freshman Naomi Marlough was a standout for Cornell as she scored eight goals in her collegiate debut. Marlough was not the only goal scorer for the Big Red, Isabell Braeden scored five goals and Ava Ramachandran scored two in the match-up.
The Big Red will look to carry this momentum into its first home performance as it competes against the Central New York Polo Club.
These two teams have competed against each other a total of ten times since they first met in 1998. Cornell currently leads the series 7-2-1 and are on a three-game winning streak against CNY. The Big Red have scored an average of 13.8 goals per game against the club.
Cornell will look to stay undefeated on the season and extend its winning streak against CNY when the two teams meet at the Oxley Equestrian Center on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
