Mike Henderson, the Alan B. '53 and Elizabeth Heekin Harris Head Coach of Cross Country, is excited for the atmosphere and competitive environment that the Big Red runners will have the opportunity to experience on Saturday. "We are all very excited for Heps. It is such a great atmosphere and competitive environment that it makes it a very memorable experience. We also look forward to seeing so many alums, parents, family and friends back to support the team as they pursue their season goals", he mentioned.

The women' team is prepared to work toward the challenge of finishing in the top-half of the team standings. "It is going to be a very tight battle. There are a lot of teams that are vying for a top half of the league finish. That makes it hard to predict where things will end up, but also very exciting.  The group is ready and looking forward to the challenge ahead of them", he added.

Coach Henderson is ready for the athletes to stay the course and allow their training and focus to take over, as they have already done all year up to this point, "Our expectations are that the athletes continue to do what they have done all year. They need to bring their focus, enthusiasm and energy to the race.", he stated.

"Everyone has seen the results from our team and knows our top individuals are ready to go, but we also know that at this meet the team battle is ultimately going to be decided by what happens in spots 3-7, which means we can't just rely on our top individuals. We need our entire team to be ready to help each other and make this is a memorable day for the Big RedWe have been preparing for it, and look forward to seeing what we can do when the racing starts", Henderson concluded with.
